The Role

We’re hiring Licensed Traffic Controllers to join our team. Responsible for safely setting up and directing the flow of Traffic (vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists) on our scheduled Water & Gas works.

As a Traffic Controller your key responsibilities are but not limited to:

• Work safely to direct oncoming traffic (vehicles and pedestrians) as required for the worksite
• Set up and position traffic control equipment on worksites (cones, signs)
• Work closely within a team to manage the flow of traffic
• Direct traffic with stop & slow bats as required for the job
• Control traffic with potable traffic controls and temporary traffic signs as required for the job
• Implement and monitor operational Traffic Management Plans
• Load and unload Linbeck vehicles with traffic signage and equipment
• Complete prestart, site hazard assessments and implement control measures to suit the site
• Perform adhoc tasks associated with all traffic management duties

To be considered for the role you must have:

• Previous experience as a Traffic Controller, directing traffic in various conditions
• Must have current Traffic control ticket (Blue)
• Implement Traffic Management Plans ticket (Yellow)
• Must have a White card & unrestricted driver’s licence
• Have own vehicle to drive to site
• Must have a good work ethic, be highly team orientated and be safety conscientious
• Available to work days & nights
